If you're into knives and EDC tools, there's only one place you'll want to be this weekend: Blade Show 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. However, we understand that not everyone can drop everything and fly or drive to Hotlanta. Fortunately, we've got your back. By the time you're reading this, we'll already be on the show floor with our cameras in overdrive, posting photos and videos of all the cool new knives we see.
For those not familiar with Blade Show, it's the world's largest knife show, and is hosted each year in the Cobb Galleria Center. This year marks the show's 36th anniversary. It runs from June 2nd (today) at 2pm through June 4th (Sunday) at 2pm. The show is open to the public, and tickets are $20 for a one-day pass or $45 for the whole weekend.
You'll be able to try out and purchase a massive variety of knives and tools, ranging from mass-production models to one-off customs. Many of the latter category usually sell out minutes after the show opens, so don't drag your feet if there's something specific you're looking for. All the biggest knife companies will be there — Benchmade, CRKT, Ka-Bar, TOPS, Zero Tolerance, and many more. This year's show will also offer a new itinerary of Blade University classes, where you can learn how the pros design, forge, grind, and use their knives.
We'll be posting snapshots of what we see throughout each day to our official Instagram account, @recoiloffgridmagazine. Those #bladeshow2017 photos will also be posted instantly in the gallery below. So, be sure to check back on this page or follow us on Instagram for #knifeporn and other live updates.
