Offgrid Gear Live: Outdoor Retailer Show, Winter Market 2016

We take a look at some of the latest survival gear from Adventure...
Have you ever walked into a big-box outdoors store and felt like you could spend your whole day there, wandering the aisles for hours? We certainly have. There's always so much cool stuff to browse through—knives to look at, backpacks to try on, tents to crawl into, and flashlights to flash. It's like being a kid in a candy store all over again.
This week, the Salt Palace Convention center will be filled with hundreds of outdoor gear manufacturers and retailers.
Now we want you to take that retail store experience, and multiply it by about 100. That's basically what attendees of the bi-annual Outdoor Retailer Show experience twice each year. This massive industry-only trade show is jam-packed with booths and displays from all the major manufacturers and brands you love. You name it, you'll probably find it there.
Trade show attendees can check out gear first-hand, see product demos, and look at new items that just hit the market (or haven't even been officially released yet). There's so much cool stuff, it's hard to take it all in, even for those who are at the show all four days.
You could brave the crowds with us, or you can simply view the show through our eyes using the gallery below.
On Thursday, January 7th through Sunday, January 10th, the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market (ORWM16) will be held in Salt Lake City, Utah. The show isn't open to the public, but we'll be there all week with smartphones in hand, snapping photos and uploading them to our Instagram page.
If you want to see everything we see at the Outdoor Retailer show, you've definitely come to the right place. All our photos from the event will be posted right here, and updated automatically as soon as a new image is added. View the show through our eyes below, and be sure to follow @recoiloffgridmagazine and #ORWM16 on Instagram if you like what you see.
