Olight's S10R Baton II is on the outer limits of what we'd consider a mini light, but it's still smaller than a BIC lighter. This above-average size results in substantial added power — at 500 lumens it's by far the brightest light we tested here. The aluminum body feels rock-solid, the reversible stainless pocket clip provides good retention, and the blue stainless accents add a nice visual touch. A magnetic tail cap allows the light to attach to metal surfaces or the included charging dock, but it's not so strong that it catches on everything in your pocket. Aside from the charging dock being a bit finicky about the tail cap's tightness, we didn't encounter any issues with this light.

Pros: Strong light output in a small package, Magnetic dock makes recharging convenient

Cons: Tail cap must be screwed on very tightly before charging
