We consider this more of a water shoe than sandal, with its structured construction and very shoe-like features – from a Vibram outsole to the anti-odor and anti-microbial OrthoLite footbed. The elastic toggle laces and Velcro ankle and heel adjustments make it easy to get in and out of the Rio Adventures. They’re at home in marine environments, and while you could hike in these, take a look at the sole and you’ll see boat shoes, not trekking boots.
