The Remedy is the production version of a design by custom knife designer Liong Mah, and its sleek deeply-beveled blade shape was inspired by a traditional Finnish Puukko outdoorsman's knife. This shape excels at both piercing and slicing. The glossy brushed 8Cr13MoV blade contrasts with the stonewashed stainless steel handle. A frame-lock secures the blade with no perceptible wiggle or play. There's a lanyard hole near the butt-end.

Pros:
– We can't say enough good things about this Liong Mah design — it looks elegant, has great balance, and falls naturally into the hand with a secure grip.
– IKBS ball bearings produce a smooth flipper action.

Cons:
– Our pre-production prototype had a factory defect in its blade steel, with a chunk of metal broken off from the area surrounding the pivot bearing. However, CRKT has already reinforced this area on all production Remedy models, and the defect was fully covered by the warranty.
– 8Cr13MoV steel wears quickly during day-to-day use
