Prized by adventure runners for mud runs and similar shenanigans, these aren't your father's trail runners. The traction lugs extend from the sole up the toe and heel as well as on the sides of the midsole, for excellent grip. The soft, snug, UA Storm water-repellent upper extends over your ankle for some additional protection and minor support, but more effectively keeps dirt and other debris out of your shoe, as well as your shoe on your foot when lurching through deep mud. Note the footbed is not removable. The TPU heel counter is very low profile, and combined with the soft unstructured synthetic upper, it means this shoe collapses nearly flat _ making it a convenient choice to compactly pack as a secondary shoe or as an emergency alternative to your wing tips.
