NRA Cars for Freedom Program

The NRA Foundation Now Offers a Tax-Deductible Donation Program for Old Vehicles in Any Condition

Inspired by the scrap metal drive programs that existed during World War II, the National Rifle Association has started a vehicle donation system called NRA Cars for Freedom. Under this new program, the NRA is accepting old vehicles in almost any condition—running or not. Rather than writing a check, you can choose to support the NRA by signing over your car, van, truck, RV, motorcycle, boat, jet-ski, or even snowmobile. These donations are quick, easy, and tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

How does it work? Well, check out the short video below:

As stated in the video, you can simply visit NRACarsforFreedom.com or call 1-866-NRA-GIFT to start the donation process. A towing company will then contact you within one business day, and schedule a time to come get your vehicle. Then, you can turn over the title and deduct the donation when you file your taxes. The NRA states that funds generated by these donations will be used to educate our country, and protect the freedoms of firearm owners.

Even if you can't donate at this time, you can help the cause by using the hashtag #CarsforFreedom on social media, or by sharing the video above.
