Along with Coleman and Rubbermaid, Igloo rules the inexpensive cooler market, as they've churned out millions of molded plastic coolers. This one, though inexpensive, is well-thought-out and engineered to improve its performance within its limited parameters. It's lockable and has tie-down points, and the telescoping handle is robust.

The high wheel clearance is thanks to something Igloo calls “cool riser technology,” merely a punt on the bottle (like on a wine bottle) that keeps the bottom of the cooler a little higher off of the hot ground. The wheels are small, and the friction lid (though tight to keep in the cold air) is a little too tight to open with one hand. And thanks to the high drain hole, you'll be tipping this cooler over to get out all of the melted ice.

Pros:
– Deep cupholders
– Dual locking points
– Telescoping handle
– High wheel clearance

Cons:
– Small wheels
– Tight friction lid
– Shallow side handles
– High drain hole
