The first thing you'll notice about the Asteroid are the Pockets — there's enough of them to stash all your essentials for a short hike or side country ski run. The Fit is designed with layering in mind, and you'll easily get a base layer and fleece under it without any tight spots or bulging. All outer zippers are either top-shelf YKK vislon, or completely concealed, to prevent snagging on pack straps or a climbing harness.

Performance:
This jacket is about comfort touches. The PrimaLoft Active Insulation breathes well enough that we didn't need to do the typical layering dance while hiking in the backcountry. The hood is designed to Fit over a ski or climbing helmet, with an inner silicon gripper to keep it in place. The cuffs have a thick band of elastic that seals out cold and keeps them locked in place when sliding gloves on and off. For organization, breathability, and ease of wear, the Asteroid is unparalleled.

Pros:
– Burly face fabric
– Pockets everywhere
– Breathable

Cons:
– Relaxed athletic Fit looks baggy on skinny guys.
– Runs small; size up for bigger guys
