The Waypoint's combination of a powerful LED and deep-dish parabolic reflector produces a long-range piercing beam of light. On its high setting, it throws 370 lumens out past 660 yards for up to five hours. It's all encased in a high-impact polycarbonate housing with an O-ring-sealed polycarbonate lens and a protective rubberized lens ring. The spotlight is waterproof to over 6.5 feet and floats in water. It's controlled via a trigger-style switch with a thumb-reachable secondary rotary switch that selects output mode. Depressing the trigger all the way keeps the light constantly on, while partially pressing it turns the light on momentarily. Its pistol grip is partially cushioned with a rubberized coating that keeps it from slipping in wet conditions. It has an integrated stand that allows it to be inverted and placed on a surface to act as a scene light. This version fully recharges in four hours, and an alkaline-battery version is also available.
Pros: Floats in water, long-range beam, integrated stand
Cons: Rechargeable only (a non-rechargeable model is available)
