Today is the first day of SHOT Show 2018 in Las Vegas, and there are many exciting new products that have been unveiled at the show today. Among them is a new folding knife from Zero Tolerance, the makers of some great American-made EDC blades. We reached out to ZT before the show and found out about this new folder, but that info was strictly under wraps at the time. Now that SHOT is open, we're able to share the details with you.

The new Zero Tolerance 0609 is a modified production version of the limited-edition Factory Custom ZT 0606CF, which was developed by famed knife designer RJ Martin and his son Matt Martin. The new 0609 is also designed by RJ Martin, and shares a similar overall profile and appearance.

The knife's drop-point blade is 3.4 inches of CPM 20CV, a Crucible Industries super-steel that features outstanding edge retention and corrosion resistance — useful attributes for a daily-carry blade. The flat of the blade is stonewashed, while the primary grind and swedge display a machined satin finish. The blade also offers a manual-opening flipper for quick one-handed use.

One especially distinctive feature on the Zero Tolerance 0609 is its See-Through Pivot. This pivot design, created by RJ Martin, consists of a central hole surrounded by KVT ball bearings for smooth opening. MSRP for this new ZT is $275. For more information, go to zt.kaiusaltd.com.
