The Mini-MAX is very convenient and svelte, utilizing a flexible thin film solar panel that rolls up and secures with Velcro. It's very thin, and you need to take care not to damage it. It features an integrated battery that put out 1 amp to an iPad in our testing, half of its rated output. Rubber endcaps protect connections on either side. One has a power switch, status LEDs, and a micro-USB input to charge the battery; the other houses the USB output. There are two eyelets at the end of the solar panel — if you hang it with the eyelets the weight of the battery unit will keep it taut, but if you try to attach it to a backpack, you'll need to fashion a method to secure the bottom or else it'll flop around. Also note Bushnell advises not to get it wet. Includes a 3-foot micro-USB cable. With 2,600 mAh of capacity in the battery, the Mini-MAX isn't a beast, but with its small size and very light weight, it's perfect to stash for emergencies and lighter-duty use.
