The inexpensive (at street prices) and high-output Anker performed well in our testing, maxing out with an iPad and supplying a full 2 amps for 10 watts of total power output. It also passed the cloud test, recovering from dips in sunlight to begin charging the iPad again. It has three rigid solar panels that fold up neatly; the fourth segment secures with Velcro and contains a pocket with dual USB outlets and a status LED. The pocket spans the full width for expansive storage, but only has a small Velcro tab in the center, so if you're not careful you may lose items from the pocket. Ask us how we know. Four metal eyelets allow you to tie it down, but you'll need to supply your own fasteners. Anker advises avoiding exposure to moisture, so keep that in mind for your application and expected conditions. Comes with a 3-foot micro-USB cable.
